Cypherin’ captures a moment of deep contemplation—the kind when you're turning a decision over in your mind, caught between choices that all seem to leave you with a lingering sense of unease. This mermaid, like all of my works, is a personal reflection, embodying the complexity of human emotion. Some viewers have been struck by her expression, which holds a raw and unapologetic disdain, almost as if she’s been forced to make a choice that feels like a burden rather than a solution.
Have you ever faced a decision that just didn’t sit right, no matter how much you overthought it? I have. No matter how much we rationalize, sometimes the best decisions still feel heavy, as though we are walking down an uncertain path. Yet, it’s through my faith that I find peace—knowing that I’ve made choices rooted in trust, and that there’s a greater plan at work beyond what I can see.
Art is meant to provoke, and I believe opinions and varying interpretations are what give it its depth and flavor. Sometimes, it’s all about the lens you choose to see through.
